7-2-09 Afternoon trip was a success, we had to run offshore and fishing was great.  The salmon fishing slowed on the shelf so we ran offshore and caught 15 fish.  10 were steelhead 4 lake trout and then we made a pass in basin and caught 15 lb king to end the trip.

7-1-09 Morning half day charter produced 10 kings with a total of 20 bites.  Same place and program as the night before.  We still have some afternoons open for the weekend of the 4th of July.

6-30-09 Half day pm trip produced 12 kings and 3 lake trout.  The kings ranged from 5# to 21# .  Straight out and to the south was the best spot using black and white spindoctors and KRW flies worked the best.  40 to 60 down.

6-29-09 Full day charter produced 16 fish 13 were kings 2 laketrout 1 steelhead.  The best fishing was straight out on the shelf in 90' of water.  The weather wasn't the greatest but our 36' tiara can handle almost anything.  Pictures of todays catch are on the way.

6-28-09 We had a awesome weekend of weather and fishing.  We mostly fished for steelhead because of the abundance of them.  We also caught some big kings.  We took out a all ladies charter for the womans tournament and the ladies caught 15 fish. We all had great time.

6-25-09 The offshore bite remains to be great, we had a mid day 4 hour charter that produced 13 steelhead with one weighing almost 19 # and 2 lake trout.  The big steelhead was caught on a dreamweaver magic man.

6-22-09 Afternoon trip produced 8 steelhead on the temp breaks and than 6 kings on the shelf as the we watched a beautiful sunset.  Dreamweaver super slims worked the best for steelhead and black spindoctors w/krw flies worked best for the kings.

6-21-09 Happy fathers days.  Great weekend of fishing.  Caught lots of kings straight out right on the bank.  We caught lots of fish in the 10 to 15# range and some fish up to 22#.  Black spindoctors and paddles with krw flies worked the best.

6-13-09 Fishing is awesome.  You can catch kings and steelhead in big numbers.  We chose to target steelhead and caught a lot of steelhead on the temp breaks using super slims in magic man.

6-11-09 The proof is in the pudding the kings are going to be big this year.  Hear are pictures of a couple big ones we caught on trips this week.  The big ones are coming deep on spindoctors and krw flies

6-2-09 Fished a morning trip ended up 25 for 35.  The fish were all sizes from 2# to 15# 50 foot down was the best depth working 170 feet of water.  Dreamweaver super slims in smash mouth and fat nancy spindoctors with krw green mirage worked the best

5-25-09 Team Trout Scout took 2nd place in the memorial shakedown tournament along with taking 2nd place in the side bet and 1st place in the second chance.  We fished mostly south of the trap nets in 140' of water fishing 70-125 down with super slims and spindoctors.

5-17-09 The kings are here for sure.  We caught 10 nice kings this am on a half day charter.  The fish look very healthy and were caught from straight out and to the south.  The best depth seems to be 120 but fish are being caught from 80-200.  Dreamweaver super slims are working the best because the bait is small that is around.

5-16-09 Full day trip turned into half day trip, the weather turned bad in a hurry.  Managed to pull five nice kings and a nice steelhead.  Fished straight out of port in 100 feet of water.  Dreamweaver super slims from 5 core down to 85 feet down on riggers.  Blue's and greens were the best colors.

5-8-09 Morning trip produced this nice 14# browntrout, 12# king, 11# steelhead and three other browns.  Fished in front around the harbour.

5-7-09 Afternoon trip produced a nice suprise with this 16# king on a stick bait out in front of the harbour.

5-7-09 Morning trip produced some browns and a couple ofnice marble eyes.  Still fishing the beach in 10 to 20 feet of water.

5-3-09  The fishing has been getting better every day.  Brown trout remain the main target, and now we can keep Lake trout.  There also is some nice sized Kings showing up.  Still fishing the beach North or South with nice catches.  The water temp is around 46 degrees with good water color.  Stick baits and small spoons are the ticket.  We are running spring specials and lodging and golf packages.  Call or email for more info.

4-21-09 The boat went in the water yesterday, just in time for it to snow a little.  The weather will be nice later in the week.  Browns are still being caught along the beach with some laketrout mixed in.  A friend of mine caught a 22lb brown Sat. afternoon with three others for a nice box.

The boat goes in the water on the 20th of April, finally.  The weather is supposed to be in the 50's next week.  When you can get out they are catching some browntrout.  Lets hope they are still around in a week.  New hardtop for the boat is being prepped to be put on, probably next month.

03-29-09 Waxed the boat yesterday, finished the bottom and installed the new cannon rod holders they are awesome can't wait to use them.  Hopefully pretty soon, a friend of mine fished in his 16 footer and went 6 for 6 on brown trout Friday afternoon.  Sounds like we might have some good brown trout fishing this spring.

03-26-09 Hi everyone the blood is starting to flow finally after a long cold winter.  I finished my last consumer trade show last weekend.  I talked to a lot of people over the winter about fishing, now its time time to start doing it.  Painted the bottom of the boat tonight.  We will waxing the boat on sat. before going to the tournament trail kickoff banquet.  The boats anglers started catching some brown trout last weekend off of Manistee.  We hope to be in the water in the next couple of weeks.  We will be in Grand Haven after the Onekama tournament for the first two weeks of June.  We will also be in Ludington the week before the offshore classic.  Give me shout with any questions.  Good fishing Capt.
